MISSION & HISTORY.

To unlock Africa's human potential by using squash as a platform for education, life-skills, and economic opportunity - creating resilient, confident young leaders who lift their communities.

We achieve this by running high-quality squash tours, camps, and tournaments that raise funds and reinvest them directly into inclusive community courts, education scholarships, mentoring, coach-training and local enterprise pathways. Our programs deliberately designed to deliver measurable social outcomes: better school retention, improved wellbeing, employable skill, and sustainable livelihoods.

Founder's Vision

Dikana Mthombeni founded Squash 4 Africa out of a conviction that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Growing up, Dikana recognised that young African's brimming with potential and strategic determination, were often confined by invisible walls of circumstance. He identified squash-a sport demanding intense discipline and focus-as the perfect metaphor and the ideal bridge to dismantle those walls.

Before launching this continental vision, Dikana served as the CEO of Egoli Squash, where he spent 3 years transforming the organisation into a leading sports for development model. This experience was the proving ground, establishing the systems and building the successful community programs required for scale.

Strategic Alignment for Systematic Change

Squash 4 Africa is more than a sporting organisation; it is a social innovation platform. We actively align our programs with high -level governmental frameworks, including the African Union's Agenda 2063, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and SADC's youth empowerment initiatives. This strategic focus ensures our impact is not only local but systemic and sustainable, tackling youth unemployment, inequality, and educational access through the values sport teaches best: discipline, resilience, and vision.

At the heart of this enduring mission remains the founder's clear philosophy:

"I founded Squash 4 Africa because I saw too many young people waiting for opportunity to find them. We're not waiting anymore. We are creating our own opportunities through sport, education, and mentorship."

- Dikana Mthombeni, Founder & Executive Director
